Designed to be used with The Grouchy Ladybug as a way to encourage students to think about their own behavior and what situations make them "grouchy".

Students can draw/color in their faces onto the ladybug, and either write a couple of sentences about what makes them grouchy, or copy a sentence you provide them (depending on their level of English)

I used this with 6 yr old ESL learners, with prompts they could copy from the board such as:

I feel grouchy when:

- I am hungry.
- I am tired.
- I am cold.
- I have to share.

The above printable, downloadable handout was created for at Beginner (pre-A1) level. It is a useful material for teaching Adjectives to describe feelings / mood / tone in English, and is a valuable material for enhancing your class' Writing skills. It centers around the theme of Feelings, emotions.
