A reading comprehension with questions. This is a bit of fun - Wendy is actually Dr Who's daughter. There are clues - you don't study those subjects in the nineteenth century! Any students interested in Dr Who will recognise the names: Buccaneer/Chula/Pentallion. The unscramble reads: Her father is not a doctor, her father is The Doctor. Which doctor? Dr Who, of course.

The above downloadable handout is best suited for at Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is valuable for revising Past simple tense in English, and was designed for honing your groups' Reading skills.
