The song Hello Goodbye! from the Beatles but with the version of the Jonas Brothers. I use mimics to sing the song with the students, practice vocabulary and phrasesI hope you like it!!!

Previous to working with the song I worked with rhyming words in a poem. Then I gave my students some of the words from the song for them to read and group the rhyming ones. They also wrote sentences using 10 of the words given. After that and once they knew the words and their meaning and they were able to provide examples, I gave them the worksheet which they successfully completed. Singing class as well!

I feel that this is a great song for Earth Day (April 22nd here in the U.S.)  You can also modify this activity to be a fill in (word gaps) and you can also put a little time into cutting the song up at appropriate spots so that the students have to physically put the song in the right order while listening.  I'm teaching Spanish speaking students now, so you can change the word "Spanish" on the second page to whatever is the home language of those you are teaching.

This is a good warm up activity to practice pronunciation and learn new words and phrases.  It is a fun activity that you can incorporate in order to practice the four skills asking questions about the song.
