I use this document to make a class contract with all my classes at the start of the year. First we talk about what rules are and then the students think of some rules and write them on the back. After a short time get them to work in groups to make a list of 5 student rules and 3 teacher rules. Then bring it all back together and discuss which rules the whole class thinks are important. 

Students then fill in a copy (from the board) and you and the student sign it. Then you make a larger copy for the whole class to sign then laminate and put on the wall.
