This sheet will help sts to identify where people can have a complaint and also learn some phrases to complaint and apologize. Sts will match the sentences according to the complaint.

COMPLAINTS 

This is an activity that works well for any intermediates.  You can use both the writing activity or just the listening/speaking activity by removing the lines in a word document format.  



Have the students work in pairs.  They need to listen to a complaint their partner experienced, tell their own to their partner, and then both present to the class. In a class of about 12 students, this will take between 30-45 minutes depending on how talkative your students are.  



To include writing, have students free write for 5 minutes about their complaint in the top portion of the activity sheet.
