The text is about William Shakespeare´s life.21 cloze test questions plus a writing activity.For the writing activity,I chose one of the most famous Shakespeare quotes and wanted my students to explain it using at least 50 words.Suitable for intermediate and upper intermediate students.

There are tons of essay writing materials available online. From brainstorming to writing paragraphs and full essays. What good does it do, however, if students can´t put a simple or complex sentence together? This worksheet is aimed at students who need complex sentence writing practice. It explains, give examples and then engages students to write their own sentences based on either a picture or from scratch.

I held it as a race AND they had to write down the reverse to win (instead of "I'm very tired so I'm going to bed" they must write "I'm going to bed BECAUSE I'm very tired")

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
