In this fun worksheet students have to guess the homophone based on a 'crossword clue'. They then look at newspaper headlines and guess the missing homophone. Finally they get to write their own newspaper headlines and read them to a partner who has to correctly write them down.

Nice and engaging activity for teens or pre teens, I tried this with 12-14 year old B1 students to practice future tense. As an intro you can ask them what do they know about the beatles, maybe show them a picture and ask if they know who they are, what songs do they know, if they know their names, etc. Students can try to guess what the song is about. The fill in the blanks and then pair discussion of the expressions/words in bold.
