This is just a fun Guess Who board game with character names and real photos. It plays like most Guess Who games. Have students work in pairs. Each student selects their character, and they take turns figuring out eachother's characters by asking only yes or no questions and using the process of elimination (e.g. Do you have a green shirt?). I like this game because it can be adapted to suit almost any level of learner.

There are two games to play. Taboo as well as the traditional Guess Who. One may vary the games to make it a descriptive task with the instruction that  all the taboo words are to be used if Elementary level students are playing it. Hope you can find some use for it.

MOVIE GENRES CARDS (12 CARDS). (Action, romantic, thriller, etc.) The task is: "Look at this cinema-goer, and guess what genre of film they are watching." This is an alternative take on the common task where students have to figure out what film belongs to what genre. Fun Movie Genres Cards

This is a reading exercise in groups. Divide the class into 4 groups, cut out the handout and give a different story to each group. They read it together and decide on one of the endings given, then they must write their own ending to the story. Once they finish they must tell their story to the rest of the group; to make sure they all participate you can split the story in parts or make them act out the dialogues representing the different characters. Then they read the different options given for the endings and explain which one they think is the correct one. All the students in the class can make their guess. Finally they tell their own ending. 

Once all the groups have finished telling their stories, it's time to tell or give them the real endings. Look in My Resources, there's a powerpoint presentation to help you tell the stories. 

Of course you can also give the whole handout with all the stories to all the students and make them work individually.
