This worksheet is suitable for those who want to practise tenses that are mixed. It should be clear which tense each sentence is in. It´s a grammar drill and I hope you or your students will find it useful. Key is also included. 

Mixed tenses

Students have to put the verbs into the correct tense: Present simple, present continuous,  past simple, past continuous or present perfect.

This worksheet was created for C1  adult students to practice tense mobility. Verbs are provided, there is a Key at the end . 

It ca also be used with high school students, it is a true story.

Mixed tenses 

Exercises to revise the Present simple, continuous and present perfect tense.

True story written to practice tense mobility.  After narrating this true story ( I am the 'she' in the story)  I turned all the verbs into infinitive and left blank spaces so students can insert the provided verbs in the correct tense.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
