Students have to identify the silent letters, copy the words into the correct box according to the silent letter. Finally students should practise the tonguetwisters.

Silent letters pronunciation

First, you must change each base verb into its appropriate regular simple past tense. Then, you must match each verb to its correct -ed pronunciation (/id/, /t/, /d/).

Pronunciation of final 's' 

Good phonetics practice.  This is a story that has a lot of difficult sounds in it for many learners but especially Korean learners.  It can be used many ways, as a listening activity, running dictation, speaking activity.  Works with tricky words like day/they, rock/lock and many more.  My favorite way to use it is with as a running dictation after a lesson on many of the difficult sounds involved in the story. 

Phoneme Story (pronunciation practice) 

Students receive a bingo grid with words on them that may sound similar - various minimal pairs. The teacher speaks in short sentences, each sentence containing one of the words on the grid. When students hear a word that is on the grid, they mark it down. First student to correctly identify enough words to make a bingo is the winner.

Students practice reading aloud the sentences given. In each of the sentences given there are some letters that are are pronounced silently. While student A reads, student B checks whether those letters are pronounced silently or not. (Those letters are indicated in parantheses in student B's card) Then, students switch roles.
