This is an interesting classroom activity about contents of the cozy living room. Your students have to match the numbers and the pictures below. Then they have to put the words in proper columns.

Can be made harder depending on the structure you give students to follow in terms if they must ask and create questions themselves or not.



The student need to ask questions or describe their picture to come up with the differences in their photos. As mine was on a black and white printer, colour was not option and thus colour was not changed on items. 



Spot the differences-family portraits

This is a true or false exercise with a picture, which models 'there is/there are' with furniture, shapes, colours and prepositions. On page 2, they are required to write 10 true sentences themselves, using the model provided. 

In the living room

Students design their dream room and describe it below using there is / there are and prepositions of place. The aim of the exercise is to revise the structure there is / there are, the prepositions and names of furniture in a fun way.

Children can make their own "Forest animal booklet" which contains different forest animals found in Europe, they can describe a picture, the lifecycle of a butterfly.
