This worksheet introduces commonly used expressions regarding the use of a telephone. Students will participate in three role-play activities that revolve around asking to speak with a specific person, leaving a message for an absent party, and placing a reservation over the phone.

Making a Telephone Call

Here you can find very useful language related to making and receiving phone calls. Usually I use it to present the questions/sentences to students, and then they work with some role-plays. Hope it's helpful!

This is a song to practice PRESENT CONTINUOUS and VOCABULARY IN GENERAL. The student has to uncode the pictures and guess the word that is the correct one to complete the lyrics of the song.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
