This worksheet is prepared for reading skill. The level of this worksheet is elementary, pre-intermediate and intermediate. The text is about modern art. It also contains passive voice and active voice sentences for teaching grammar. It involves vocabulary like matching exercises. There are many activities such as matching, ordering, timetable, and describing. Thanks to these activities learners will have understood the text. The most important thing is that it is prepared for interact with the words. The activities are pair work and group work not individual.

Modern Art (Reading Passage)

There are several paintings, a list of questions and an example what a student has to be able to say. I use the material as control speaking. A student might want to describe the painting by himself, if he can't the teacher can help asking the question and then eliciting the whole description.

This is a lesson aimed at upper-intermediate students (CEFR B2). It will inform the students about famous British art and give them the opportunity to learn about describing art in detail, also learning methods for extending their language. It includes full teacher notes and an answer key, as well as suggested homework. I'd suggest that you use it for students who are interested in art and British culture, although it aims to teach students how to extend their own vocabulary and use more interesting language, as well as explain why they like things in detail.
