There is a set of pictures. I cut them into a few pieces and put on the table. A child takes one card and looks at it. His/her task is to make a sentence with a picture (usually I try to differentiate tenses e.g. Make up a sentence in the Present Simple Tense, the second child can make a sentence in the Present Continuous Tense). Children have fun with it. Also they can write down their sentences.
