This activity I use with my elementary students so they can practice how to provide information about  Sao Paulo (Brazil) subway map.

Students are stranded on a hypothetical island, and must describe it in detail and send a message in a bottle to prospective rescuers. Scaffold by giving students an island template and having them draw their island, then write a description based on the drawing.

Practice about commands in class for students in first grade. It is a matching with pictures and words, they have to join them. Do not repeat, it is completed.

The purpose of this worksheet is to train the students to understand directions and to be able to follow them. The teacher has to invent a fictive path, starting from home, and give the necessary directions to follow it (for example, after the crossing, turn left/right, go straight ahead, keep going up to the river). If the student understood well your directions, he/she should arrive at your final point. The second exercise can be completed on their own: they have to draw a ball at the right place according to the adverbs of position.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
