I designed the map using word shapes adding some pics. The first page can be used as the map for the worksheet, or can be printed as a poster or used as a boardgame (after or before the tasks included). I included instructions for 4 different uses + 24 cards for the game. The second and third pages contain 4 different exercises to use the map: complete the dialog (directions), questions, underline the correct (prepositions of place) and writing (there be). It’s designed for intermediate students, completely editable / correctable. If you want to print the cards separately, ungroup and drag them to the next page or copy and paste them in another document (ungroup only once and you’ll get them together). Hope it’s useful. I've just updated this worksheet as there were a couple of mistakes in the previous one. Sorry for that! I think it's useful to learn how to ask and give directions in a city. There's a city map with the vocabulary needed and 3 exercises included to practise dialogues. If you start by asking for the nearest places and you move slowly to the farthest ones, you'll have lots of practice! Keys included. I hope you like it!

 A colourful map with various shops and buildings  Can be used to learn about giving and asking for directions.  There is also a speaking exercise with suggested topics about the town centre.

 Asking for and giving Directions Using adverbs of place eg next to, between,near 

Ss have to recognize the different buildings in a town. Then they have to give the directions or write the questions for the given answers. After that they can ask about other places. For example, you´re in front of the station. You´re hungry and want to buy some food. Ask someone where the supermarket is. etc. It´s editable. I hope you like it and find it useful!
