A fairly basic practice of the prepositions of place and the present continuous tense.  I start this off by looking at the picture and giving them some speaking practice with a TRUE or FALSE. e.g. the horse is in the pond/ the father and son are playing cricket...

There are two activities to practise the prepositions of place "in, on, under". In the first activity, students have to cut the balls and stick them in the correct picture according to the sentences. In the second exercise, students have to look at the pictures and circle the correct preposition of place.

This WS provides additional practice for Oxford Primary Skills Reading and Writing 1 - Unit 4. It helps to review and extend vocabulary for things in the garden and to write a description of a picture. 

In The Garden

Students draw a scene described in four sentences.  They use prepositions on, under, in, and next to.  This also uses basic classroom vocabulary.  The worksheet can be used as an information gap activity by giving one student the sentences and one student the picture.
