What are they doing?

There are six pictures, with different exercises on each: gap fill, prepositions, a reading comprehension, a traditional cloze and questions to elicit a full description. The pictures are from a set where each has six hidden words. I guess that part is an optional extra!

Two outdoor Christmas scenes - the language focus is present tense and prepositions. The students decide which picture each sentence is describing. They put the right letter on the line and the first one is done as an example.

A short RC to preactise the present simple and some T/F questions which practise the present continuous. This one will suit younger pupils. NOTE: \'tea\' is a meal. Either sandwiches and snacks, or a full dinner, depending on the part of the country.

On page 1, a true or false activity. On page 2, a reading comprehension with exercises (present tense practice). On p.3. a more difficult passage in the past simple tense, with questions. This exercise is useful for more advanced students - however, the questions are actually not too hard. Key included.
