COMPARING PICTURES - SPEAKING ACTIVITY

Everything you can find in a kitchen. One page has the objects laid down and written their names underneath and the second one has only the objects and the student must remember the words that describe them. Good luck!

Rooms of the House #2

Multi-purpose worksheet. It can be used for collaborative learning purposes. First, students are given a couple of minutes to find individually as many words as they can. Then they work in pairs and finally in small groups. Once they have found all the possible items, the teacher can use the picture to reinforce some grammar contents:  prepositions of place, there is / are, I can see... or just for fun: "Bingo", "I spy with my little eye", "taboo"...

This is an activity in which students learn the possessives by colouring the pictures. Students have to follow the sentences at the top of the page and colour what the sentences ask for. The first picture does not have any reference because students should write the colours of their own bedroom. They'll love to colour while learning!

Possessives

Students have to draw, in pairs, the plan of their ideal house and write about it. More ambitious students might want to choose pictures of rooms they like from the Internet and describe them too.

This can be presented in front of the class either as a  slide presentation or (in case you do not have access to a computer with a projector) as a poster.
