A very simple activity just to match sentences with appropriate pictures.

This is an activity I developed based on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wu9KXQmL2d8&feature=youtu.be, and it's up to you whether you wish to show it to the class or not, it's not really necessary (the video is really short, though, and can be of great help in case your students have trouble with some of the vocabulary!). Two pages, with exercises on the use of expressions like MAKE SURE TO/DON'T FORGET TO/REMEMBER TO etc.

"10 Inventors Killed By Their Own Inventions" (GIVING RECOMMENDATIONS)

There are two exercises. In N. 1 the students have to find 25 words related to Halloween. These words are given in my printable Halloween Pictionary. In exercise N. 2 the students complete the sentences with prepositions of place according to the pictures.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
