In this card game, it teaches the students to ask questions about a particular object,action or thing. This gives the student to practice asking questions. This also helps the student to learn more vocabulary and practice their grammar. This can be done in pairs or as a whole class activity. Hope you enjoy.

I Spy 

This goes together with my PowerPoint Presentation on gadgets (see portfolio), or you could use this on its own as a lead in. The students learn vocabulary on old gadgets and practice answering wh- questions. The end goal of the lesson is to make them use "had to". 
Solutions are:
Blackberry phone, Walkman, VCR player, typewriter, telegraph. 
In the last exercise, the students must create sentences using "had to", such as: To listen to music while walking, people had to use Walkmans.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
