This worksheet includes a table of all the common suffixes and prefixes. It also includes some exercises where the student can use the rules he has just learnt.

A prefix is a group of letters added before a word to alter its meaning. The prefix 'dis' is generally used to make a word negative. The prefix 'mis' means badly, wrongly or incorrectly. This English resource asks students to choose the correct word to complete the sentence.

Wordbox Fun

This is a poster, that can be used for studying, at school or as homework. The primary aim is to make the student(s) more familiar with the different types of past tense verbs. Multicoloured to try and make it interesting for young learners.

V1, V2 and V3 verbs

The suffixes -er and -est can be added to adjectives when we are comparing things or people. With this year 2 worksheet, children complete the sentences by adding er or est to the adjectives. There are 12 sentences to complete and an answer sheet is included for quick marking. This handy literacy activity can be used at home or in the classroom and will help improve your child's literacy skills.

Suffixes -er or -est Ending?

Many students, even at an advanced level, struggle with word formation. To help them practice words like "significant/significance," "curious/curiosity," and "determined/determination," I've created a worksheet with some unconventional exercises. This worksheet includes activities such as 
•  finding the odd word, 
•  old and reliable gap fill  but with a twist- filling in gaps while considering the appropriate form of the word
•   one more activity off the beaten path – where two words have been interchanged and your task is to identify the two words that have been swapped

ALT Japan exercises on the structure of words, for HS students. By showing Prefix Japanese students can link the words to a form of more graphical and kanji feeling of the words. This is a simple exercise where they have to find two words with the prefix so they can extrapolate the meaning of the word in question. Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
