This worksheet / lesson plan (90-120 mins) is based on the classic Cinderella fairy tale. The students review all the forms of past simple while practicing their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.

1. Students write down the past simple verbs they hear as the story is dictated. 

2. Students read the story and check the verbs 

3. Students form groups and complete a grammar table for the past simple affirmative, negative and interrogative forms of be verb, regular verbs and irregular verbs. 

4. Students also populate a table with the present simple and past simple forms of the verbs in the story, categorizing them into be verb, regular or irregular. 

5. Each student practices writing these structures for a particular paragraph in the story. 

6. The written sentences are then handed to the teacher who conducts a fun quiz competition.

In this worksheet, students identify each movie according to the genre by looking at the titles and their description. The second part of the worksheet allows the students to give a sort of movie review about the recent movie they have watched. I hope this material would be a help to our colleagues who would be teaching about movies.

TEST (A1) - TV - version B (weaker students)

This test is all about TV. As usual you have reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and written practice (tasks include questions, matching, rephrasing, etc.). Key is included.

TEST (A1) - TV - version A (regular students)

This is a reading comprehension about the film Back to the Future. There are a few comprehension questions and the last one I recommend to ask as homework, in order to elaborate an essay about the same theme as the film presents. The last question is related to the theme "if clauses", the second conditional. You may ask your students to follow that content.

It can be used for Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate students.
