This presentation contains a wide variety of linking words and expressions which can be used for different purposes (for example, expressing addition, contrast, cause and effect, etc.) in order to improve both writing and speaking skills. 

Linking Words

A ppt to study and practise the verb 'to be' as a linking verb. First, students look at situations when we use this verb. After this, the positive, negative and interrogative forms are explained separately. In the beginning, there's a rule for using the right form for different sentence subject. Then, there are practice exercises to drill the forms. The last part is for students to make true sentences using the forms of the verb 'to be'.
