Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

A simple game for students to practise both objects in the living room and prepositions of place. First students listen, repeat and match the words they hear with the right pictures. Then there is a multiple choice task on where the objects are located.

IN THE LIVING ROOM - furniture + prepositions of place (a game)

Give students time to look at the picture - they can even describe what they see. The 2nd slide shows eight objects - click on one and students will have then to complete 2 multiple choice blanks: one with a preposition and another with the furniture. There is always a go back button to check the picture or go back to the slide with the eight pics. Have fun.

A MESSY ROOM - a memory game (prepositions)

This activity is a nice game to practice speaking skills. First exercise is to revise places in the town - match words to pictures.  Second exercise is to create you own town by moving pictures at any directions on the field and discribe  their positions to each others, using prepositions of place. It can be used as a game to find differences.

This is a ppt game for primary school students to practise prepositions of place (in, on, under, near, between) and the vocabulary on topic My Home. Students are to a find Froggy in the room and say where it is.

In this ppt students have to use prepositions of place in sentences based on a given picture. Later, they have to remember and use there is / there are structure in sentences.

This ppt was made to help my young students remember the prepositions of place. There are 4 prepositions are trained: on, in, under and by. I've got also a worksheet to offer students after working on this presentation. 

Where is the blue book?

1. Name all the things in the picture and the items around the outside. Make a list of new vocab. 
Note: Furniture words used in instructions later: cabinet, sofa, chair, table, shelf

2. Get the students to read the instructions and move the items to the correct place - either with screen remote control or by drawing circles (annotations in most video conferencing software). You can layer the items as necessary with send to back/bring to front as the students instruct you.

3. Hide the vocab and the instructions and ask the students to describe the room back to you. Focus on is/are for singular plurals as well as correct prepositions. Ask 'where' questions to prompt if necessary.

Practice prepositions of place by putting the objects into the room in the correct places.

Simple office items with 3D characters to introduce vocabulary, or for working with prepositions. Can use for a range of categories or simply This is a.. where is he now... and so on. Can also get students to ask and answer questions together.
