Bingo game that is great for a warm-up activity, encourages speaking and wakes the class up! It is a mingling activity where students have to walk around and chat with several partners in turn.

In this ESL printable worksheet students have to ask their fellow classmates questions in order to fill the blanks. A good ice-breaker for a new class or new term!

Find someone who ...

I always enjoyed this activity but was frustrated when the students couldn't convert the statements into questions and would just read 'someone who likes cake?!' to which the other student would say 'yes'. This way they know what the question should be and then can provide the answers in the third person when you ask them what they found out.

Students practice using "Prefer." We've been working on the comparative so I encouraged them to make comparative sentences.. but they don't have to. 



Speed Dating using Prefer and Comparatives 

A classic "Find someone who ..." game around the topic of TV watching [with solutions]. 



I took a bunch of comments from an online forum where teens answered the question: "How much TV do you watch a day?"



The answers are neatly formatted to like like the actual comments on the net [pages 2-3]. Cut them all up, and hand them out evenly to the kids. Help them with any difficult words they are not familiar with.



Then hand out the questionnaire [page 1] with the types of people they have to find among the online respondents. They will have to walk around and ask questions from each other to be able to fill their questionnaire.



You'll also find a vocab list and some other exercises on pages 4.



Page 6 contains the solutions.

Find Someone Who ... [Topic: Watching TV ] with KEY

An ESL mingling activity. Students ask: Do you know the English word for this? (and points to the drawing). Gets a signature from a friend if he can name the English word.

Find Someone Who...Halloween

I used this ESL activity with music. Once the music starts students must walk around. When the music stops they need to ask another student 'Do you like X?' If the response is "Yes", the interviewer should write down the student's name. If the answer is no, they need to move on until they find someone who does.



Then once the music begins the question time stops and walking starts again. 



First to complete the worksheet wins.



There are 4 blanks at the bottom for the students to add their own ideas.
